Ash A. Alizadeh, MD/PhD
Moghadam Family Professor
Clinical Focus
Cancer > Lymphoma, Lymphoma, B-Cell Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia, Burkitt Lymphoma, Follicular Lymphoma, Diffuse Large-Cell Lymphomas, Leukemia, Hairy Cell, Lymphoma, B-Cell, Marginal Zone, Hodgkin Disease, Medical Oncology
Research Interests
My research is focused on attaining a better understanding of the initiation, maintenance, and progression of tumors, and their response to current therapies toward improving future treatment strategies. In this effort, I employ tools from functional genomics, computational biology, molecular genetics, and mouse models.
Clinically, I specialize in the care of patients with lymphomas, working on translating our findings in prospective cancer clinical trials.

Patrick O. Brown
Professor of Biochemistry, Emeritus
Research Interests
Dr. Brown, currently an emeritus professor, is founder of Impossible Foods, a company dedicated to replacing the world's most destructive technology - the use of animals to transform plant biomass into meat, fish and dairy foods - by developing a new and better way to produce the world's most delicious, nutritious and affordable meats, fish and dairy foods directly from plants. Visit impossiblefoods.com for more information. He is also founder and president of the Impossible Foundation.

Ron Kopito
Professor of Biology
Research Interests
Our laboratory use state-of-the-art cell biological, genetic and systems-level approaches to understand how proteins are correctly synthesized, folded and assembled in the mammalian secretory pathway, how errors in this process are detected and how abnormal proteins are destroyed by the ubiquitin-proteasome system.

Wen-yang Lin
Postdoctoral Scholar, Genetics
Research Interests
The broad goal of my research interest is to identify intrinsic and extrinsic mediators of tumor growth and plasticity. My past research experiences will synergize with the expertise of Dr. Monte Winslow’s laboratory to allow the discovery of novel mechanisms of cancer progression. The integration of our molecular measurements with multiple types of ‘omics’ data will ultimately improve the diagnostic precision medicine.
