Bio
Dr. Byron Lee is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiac Electrophysiology Section. He has published over 150 peer reviewed articles and 10 book chapters. He has written several books to help students navigate the medical school admission process. His research focuses on treatments to prevent sudden cardiac death, atrial fibrillation, and complications of cardiac device lead extraction. He has won numerous teaching awards for his work with medical students, residents, and fellows. He also serves as Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Palo VA Medical Center and Head Cardiologist for University of California Athletics.
