Executive Director, Program in Bedside Medicine

Sonoo Thadaney is the Executive Director for Presence. Abraham Verghese intially engaged her as a thought partner to help define and launch what is now Presence. She also serves as the Executive Director for the Program in Bedside Medicine. 

At Stanford, Sonoo is an entrepreneur, working with faculty to create and launch new initiatives, centers, and programs.

She engaged a core faculty team to create and launch a new M.Sc. in Community Health and Prevention Research, and has created and delivered programs for the Stanford WSDM (Women and Sex Differences in Medicine) Center, The Program in Feminist, Gender and Sexuality Studies, the Diversity and First Gen Office. Sonoo spearheaded a pilot on Restorative Justice, under the auspices of the then Office of Judicial Affairs.

Sonoo also serves as a Pre-Major Advisor to Stanford freshmen and teaches leadership skills, Program Internship and Engagement coursework for the M.Sc in Community Health and Prevention Research (CHPR), and conflict/decision coaching. View her LinkedIn page here
