Acute Care Excellence (ACE) Committee

The Acute Care Excellence (ACE) committee is a multidisciplinary collaboration between attending physicians, residents, nurses, informaticists, pharmacists, case managers, social workers and quality and performance improvement specialists aimed at making systems level improvements in the acute care units at LCPH. Each ACE team is led by a hospitalist and is tasked with identifying a process or system in need of improvement, creating ways to optimize and improve them, and then providing mechanisms for their continuous quality improvement and self-sustainment.

Via the ACE committees, our division has directly impacted numerous care processes and systems including primary care physician communication, discharge readiness, medication reconciliation, and family centered rounding just to name a few.
