Night Float Curriculum
The original conception and creation of the National Pediatric Nighttime Curriculum was piloted at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. The curriculum includes ten fixed online modules that the interns and residents review with the night-time hospitalist over their two weeks of night rotations on the hospitalist service. The original modules were authored and peer-reviewed by hospitalists in our division.
The development and implementation of the curriculum included multiple institutions across the country with the creation of an additional 20 modules. It is the first national online curriculum for post-graduate level medical education.
