Gift Opportunities – Make a difference in human health and well-being
The Stanford Precision Health and Integrated Diagnostics (PHIND) Center relies on the generous support of alumni, parents and friends in mobilizing the components needed to advance human health. By supporting PHIND, donors have the opportunity to invest in the researchers who will discover, test, and disseminate the next generation of science and technology to deliver predictive, preventive, and precise care to every patient. PHIND focuses on Precision Health, utilizing tools and approaches for improving overall lifelong human health before disease occurs. The PHIND approach differs from Precision Medicine, which is generally not implemented until an individual becomes ill and is treatment focused.
Gifts enable us to accelerate interdisciplinary research through our Seed Grant and Dream Team initiatives; develop new "smart" technologies to deliver predictive health risk assessment, biomarkers to detect the transition from health to disease, continuous health monitoring such as wearable and implantable devices and other preventive approaches to detect disease early or before it ever takes hold; and attract the most promising scientists from diverse disciplines.
