Overview

The Pelc Lab is primarily focused on advanced x-ray and CT imaging, including the development of systems and algorithms, optimization efforts, and collaborations with industry. We are hosted by both the Department of Bioengineering and the Department of Radiology.

Research

The Pelc lab is engaged in bioimaging by investigating advanced hardware and software for x-ray CT scanners. Our goals are to improve the performance and clinical utility of scanners, while decreasing the required radiation exposure. Current projects include simulation of next-generation detectors, assessment of stroke imaging protocols, and reduction of exposure through adaptive x-ray filtration. Take a look at our research and publication pages to learn more about the projects we work on.
