Stanford Pediatric Fellowship Programs
Fellowship Programs at Stanford Children's Health are designed to provide outstanding training to prepare our fellows to excel as sub-specialty clinicians, researchers, teachers, advocates, and become leaders within the field of pediatrics. The Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University currently trains 136 fellows across 28 subspecialty training programs.
Department Fellowship Program
- Created in 2017 to prepare fellows to excel as sub-specialty clinicians, scholars, teachers, and advocates and become leaders within their fields.
- Through a unique and innovative curriculum, we provide the skills needed to ensure fellows are outstanding candidates for positions after fellowship.
- Our mission includes exceptional training and mentorship in basic, translational, clinical, and epidemiologic research to facilitate fellows' professional transition into academic faculty positions.
- By providing centralized programming, including program leadership, and exposing fellows to a diverse and broad group of faculty facilitators, we are establishing a robust learning community and a rich professional network.

Virtual Open House Session
The Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is hosting virtual open house sessions for anyone interested in pursuing subspecialty training. Participants will hear about our exciting training programs, supportive learning community, and the University's and Department's many diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Each open house will include a fellow panel to share perspectives on their training and answer questions.

2025-2026 Academic Year Calendar
We are excited to share the finalized 2025-2026AY Fellowship Core Curriculum & Meeting Calendar. Thank you for your valuable feedback, which continues to shape our programs and offerings!
Here are the key updates for the upcoming academic year:
- Fellows' College has been restructured into eight sessions held during the noon hour on Zoom throughout the year, making it more accessible for fellows to participate.
- Fellowship Educators’ Meetings will focus on faculty and professional development topics and will be held six times per year.
- Fellowship Community Events will be held monthly to foster connections and a strong sense of community.
- Program Coordinator Open Office Hours will be offered monthly.
- Biannual Program Director Meetings will provide program directors with a supportive space to address challenges and exchange best practices to enhance their programs.
- Semiannual Associate Program Director Meetings will provide support to associate program directors, focusing on role-specific challenges and best practices, and supporting their growth as leaders in graduate medical education.
- Fellowship Graduation will be held on the last Friday in May.

In response to fellow feedback, the Fellowship Leadership Team has created an anonymous tool to report concerns. Patient safety events should be reported in the iCare system.
