Rotation Guide & Goals

The subspecialty of pediatric rheumatology oversees an extensive variety of systemic autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases of children affecting the musculoskeletal system, as well as other major organs such as the renal, cardiopulmonary, GI and central nervous systems. Residents can choose to primarily see outpatients in the clinic setting, or perform inpatient consults in the hospital with the on-service team, or a combination of both inpatient and outpatient as desired.

Pediatric Rheumatology Residents Program for the American College of Rheumatology Annual Meeting:

To motivate outstanding pediatric residents to pursue subspecialty training in pediatric rheumatology, the Pediatric Rheumatology Residents program provides an opportunity to attend the ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting.

Pediatric Residents Opportunity to attend the CARRA (Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance) annual meeting (usually in April).
