Child Abuse Pediatrics

The aim of this rotation is to increase resident comfort in screening for patients with suspected child abuse and to see the longitudinal process the SCAN team goes through when a child has been evaluated for abuse and the subsequent consequences.  Rotational experience may include attending child abuse clinic, working with the inpatient SCAN consult team, attending monthly SCAN meetings, and watching testimony on child abuse cases. 

** If the resident wants to participate in clinic, clearance needs to be obtained about a month in advance - please contact Dr. Egge early if you would like clinic to be part of your experience **
