The Division of Clinical Informatics at the Department of Pediatrics, Stanford Medicine, stands on a rich 40-year legacy in Biomedical Data Science and Informatics education. As pioneers in the field, with the distinction of launching the first ACGME-accredited Clinical Informatics Fellowship in connection with the Pediatric Residency Program in 2014, they have solidified their reputation as leaders in pediatric healthcare digital innovation. The Division also builds on the strengths of the operational clinical informatics program at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, with 15 years of excellence in enhancing care for children and pregnant women both locally and globally. Recognizing the rapid advancements in AI and LLMs, Stanford Medicine is committed to spearheading equitable and informed applications of clinical informatics to ensure the unique health needs of children are addressed through these advancements in technology.
