HPM Fellow Core Lecture Series
Pediatric fellows will join the adult HPM fellows for weekly ½-day educational sessions. Didactics cover core topics in palliative care and serious illness care.
Communication Skills Workshops
Skill-based sessions with simulated patients and faculty facilitators to get targeted feedback on their communication skills, practice delivering prognosis, responding to emotion, and how to shift conversations as situations evolve.

Department of Pediatrics Fellows' College covers core topics in teaching, quality improvement, business of medicine, ethics, professionalism and career development. Fellows are welcome to attend sessions relevant to their professional development throughout the year.
Sustainable Practice Series
Our sustainable practice series is led by interdisciplinary team members with the goal of providing a confidential space for fellows to debrief, process life experiences, and to cultivate skills necessary for sustainable practice as a hospice and palliative medicine physician.
Division of Quality of Life and Palliative Care Conferences
Journal Club
Fellows participate in our monthly Division of Quality of Life and Palliative Care Journal Club where we review recently published articles relevant to the practice of pediatric hospice and palliative medicine. Fellows are asked to lead journal club once per year.
Morbidity and Mortality
Pediatric HPM fellows are asked to lead a morbidity and mortality conference once during the academic year.

Pediatric Grand Rounds
Fellows are welcome to join Pediatric Grand Rounds which occurs every Tuesday at 8 am in the Grand Rounds Room of the Center for Academic Medicine from September to June.
