Cristina Alvira, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Critical Care)
Dr. Alvira was recruited to Stanford School of Medicine in the University Tenure Line in 2010, and currently runs an NIH-funded basic research program aimed at identifying novel mechanisms that direct lung growth and repair in infants and children. Dr. Alvira is currently a Stanford Child Health Research Institute John and Tashia Morgridge Faculty Scholar in Pediatric Translational Medicine. She has a passion for imparting her grant writing expertise towards training young investigators.
