Stanford Medicine wRVU Lactation Credit from the WellMD website:
While breastfeeding and chestfeeding is a challenging task for many, physicians face distinct challenges including extended working hours, less flexibility due to procedures and patient visits, as well as no scheduled breaks. The wRVU Lactation Credit Program offsets the negative financial impacts that lactating in the clinical environment can have on the productivity-based component of clinical faculty members’ compensation. The program aims to mitigate such compensation losses for Stanford clinical faculty who are lactating, giving them the time they need to breastfeed/chestfeed or express milk during work hours in a way that works for their specialty. If you would like more information on the program, please contact the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA) for your department. For more details, please refer to the announcement from the Chief Wellness Officer.
