Updates Regarding COVID-19 Advisory
In light of the University’s guidance around social distancing, we have reviewed our upcoming Pediatric Grand Rounds sessions and have decided to move forward with virtual sessions for the immediate future.
*Please note that all Pediatric Grands Rounds sessions will be online only. Please do not go to LPCH Auditorium.
Pediatric Grand Rounds (CME): COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine and Myocarditis in Adolescents and Young Adults

Given recent developments around cases of myocarditis following mRNA COVID vaccination, we have decided to extend our Pediatrics Grand Rounds season for an additional session featuring experts from pediatric cardiology and infectious disease.
*This is the last session of Pediatric Grand Rounds for the 2020-2021 academic year. We will resume Friday, September 10, 2021.

Education Goals
- To review available local, national, and international data on cases of myocarditis following mRNA vaccines
- To discuss general principles of diagnosis and management of myocarditis and provide interim guidance on management of myocarditis cases following vaccination
- To discuss benefit-risk balance considerations for individual clinical decision-making and policy decisions
