Updates Regarding COVID-19 Advisory
In light of the University’s guidance around social distancing, we have reviewed our upcoming Pediatric Grand Rounds sessions and have decided to move forward with virtual sessions for the immediate future.
*Please note that all Pediatric Grands Rounds sessions will be online only. Please do not go to LPCH Auditorium.
Pediatric Grand Rounds (CME): COVID-19 in Children with Cancer: A Tale of Disparities

In April of 2020, a national registry of children with cancer and COVID-19 was designed to help clinicians taking care of these children. This session will describe the findings, particularly related to the clinical course of COVID-19 in children with cancer, how cancer therapy is being modified due to COVID-19, and who is a risk for severe disease.

Session Description
In April of 2020, a national registry of children with cancer and COVID-19 was designed to help clinicians taking care of these children. The registry now has over 650 children from 84 institutions. This session will describe the findings, particularly related to the clinical course of COVID-19 in children with cancer, how cancer therapy is being modified due to COVID-19, and who is a risk for severe disease.

- Understand the challenges of rapidly developing a national registry
- Identify the natural history of COVID-19 in children with cancer
- Develop an awareness of disparities in COVID-19 and pediatric oncology
