In light of the University’s guidance around social distancing, we have reviewed our upcoming Pediatric Grand Rounds sessions and have decided to move forward with virtual sessions for the immediate future.

Despite overwhelming evidence of the power of social determinants of health, investments in health care have remained for many decades seriously imbalanced toward the "repair shop" functions, rather than on the true causes of health and illness. This lecture will explore the magnitude of that imbalance, the reasons for it, and possible forms of action and mobilization to redress it.
