In this Grand Rounds, a pediatrician with national recognition in working with children and families on the border of the US and Mexico will provide an understanding of the lives of refugee and immigrant children and provide insight to the role of pediatricians in these circumstances .

Session Description
In this Grand Rounds, a pediatrician with national recognition in working with children and families on the border of the US and Mexico will provide:
- An understanding of the lives of refugee and immigrant children and families struggling to grow and survive in the midst of frightening frontline conditions.
- Provide insight to the role of pediatricians in these circumstances by reflecting on a physician’s responsibility in responding to social injustices
- An understanding the obstacles in engaging in social justice work and ways to overcome them and have an impact of the most vulnerable children and families.
