Session Description

For most people, emotional intelligence (EQ) is just as important as one’s intelligence (IQ) for achieving success in their personal and professional lives. As the COVID pandemic has shown us, EQ also helps us to stay resilient under unforseeable circumstances that deeply impact our daily lives. This workshop highlights the importance of emotional intelligence and that of self-awareness as a key component. It offers evidence-based practices to increase these abilities that each of us can grow with time. We will practice in pairs and groups several specific techniques that anyone can incorporate into their busy lives.

Education Goals

  • Define self-awareness and emotional intelligence and highlight their importance 
  • List examples of evidence-based practices to increase self-awareness and improve emotional intelligence 
  • Apply learned practices during the session to start experiencing their effects and share with fellow learners
