Heart Center Research Day

Palo Alto, CA: March 9, 2026

The 2026 Heart Center Research Day aimed to update cardiology members and partners on new research related to the care of pediatric patients with various cardiology-related issues and the evolving role of cardiologists in the healthcare system. The event featured expert physicians, clinical educators, APPs, and senior research scientists. In addition, scientific posters were presented by trainees and research associates.

Throughout this in-person course, participants engaged in a comprehensive examination, analysis, and discussion of the latest research in the field of cardiology within our department. The primary objective was to foster collaborative research efforts, develop strategies to effectively involve others in actions and behaviors geared toward accomplishing research objectives and goals, and identify subject matter experts whose expertise could significantly contribute to advancing attendees’ work.

8th Annual MCHRI Symposium

The Roadmap to Thrive

This lecture described the evolution of the American Board of Pediatrics Roadmap Project which aims to better support emotional health as part of routine care of children with chronic medical conditions. Practical ways to incorporate this into practice and learning environments will be reviewed, and linked to our local effort to build a comprehensive subspecialty embedded emotional health program in the Heart Center.
