The goal of the retreat is to bring together the currently ‘loosely’ linked neurodegenerative community at Stanford. We invited colleagues from Neurology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Informatics Research, and Pathology to present their research.
I am excited to announce Dr. Samuel Goldman, Professor, UCSF to present his epidemiological research on gene-environment studies in Parkinson’s disease.
A special guest, Alex Flynn, will join us and talk about his personal journey with Parkinson’s disease.
We cordially invite everyone in the Stanford community to join the virtual retreat. In our virtual format, we included a poster session that will allow trainees, postdocs, and students to present their work. We will award three poster prizes at the end of the retreat!
The retreat is hosted by the Department of Pathology at the Stanford University School of Medicine, sponsored by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and Molecular Devices, and supported by the Pacific Udall Center and Stanford Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
Our scientific organizers are Vinita Ganesh Chittoor, Faria Zafar, and Birgitt Schuele.
