Stanford Pathology is pleased to announce that resident Minami Tokuyama has been honored with the prestigious W. Dwayne Lawrence Award for Best Platform Presentation by a Trainee at the 2025 United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) Annual Meeting held in March.
Minami's award-winning presentation, titled "DNA Methylation Profiling of Uterine Mesenchymal Tumors Suggests Adenosarcomas Are a Heterogeneous Group of Neoplasms," highlights her innovative research in understanding the complexities of uterine tumors. This significant recognition reflects not only Minami's dedication and expertise but also the mentorship of Dr. Brooke Howitt, a faculty member at Stanford School of Medicine, who has guided her throughout this research journey.
Stanford Pathology applauds Minami for her outstanding contribution to the field and for representing our institution at such a prestigious event. Her work exemplifies the spirit of inquiry and excellence that defines our department.
