Courtesy of University HR and University IT, all faculty and benefits-eligible staff in the Department of Pathology have free unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning.

LinkedIn Learning is an online training library that has over 13,000 courses covering business, technology, and creative topics. LinkedIn Learning is designed for all levels of learners. These videos are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be viewed from the convenience of your computer or mobile device.

Coursera

Cardinal at Work Course Catalog

Cardinal at Work offers a variety of STAP eligible development courses and connection opportunities, such as informational interviews and networking workshops. Join other colleagues from across the university to learn new skills and techniques that will improve your job performance and keep you on the track for success.

University IT Training

Stanford University IT hosts various technology sessions to support your personal and professional development. Sessions include topics in AI, Data Science, Graphic/Media Design, Microsoft Office and more. All sessions are eligible for STAP funds and Healthcare Education Assistance.

Stanford Continuing Studies

Stanford Continuing Studies aims to share the university's educational resources to promote intellectual exploration and exchange. The program offers approximately 550 courses (evening, weekend and online) annually in the liberal arts and sciences, creative writing, and professional and personal development, taught by Stanford faculty and industry experts. STAP-eligible staff may use their STAP funds to pay for tuition and registration, while non STAP-eligible staff, faculty, and students 65 years and older can receive a 20% tuition discount. Stanford Continuing Studies also offers free community events throughout the year.

Career Counseling Network

Get personalized, confidential career development support from independent career counselors. Career Counseling Network (CCN) connects you with top Bay Area career counselors for expert career support, from exploring new paths to mastering the job search. As a STAP-eligible program, it's the perfect way to invest in your career development. STAP-eligible staff may use their STAP funds to pay for CCN Services. Each 1-hour career counseling session is $175 and the total STAP fund reimbursement is limited to $500 per fiscal year for all CCN services.

RING Mentorship Program

The RING Mentorship Program is a remote-first, group-based mentorship program which is mentor-led and community-driven. The goal of this program is to create an engaging professional development opportunity for School of Medicine staff. In this program, we are looking for staff who believe they would benefit from meeting regularly with up to four colleagues over the course of four-months.

Coach Hub

Stanford has collaborated with CoachHub to provide STAP-eligible employees with 1:1 Development Coaching. Get three months of unlimited, personalized virtual coaching to address your unique professional development and/or career enrichment goals for $800.

Start working with a coach to receive support in:

Change Management: career direction, new role or promotion, new manager or team, reorganization, navigating change, new or increased responsibilities, job enrichment
Self-Direction: motivation, goal setting and achievement, self-confidence, self-awareness, empowerment, organizational awareness, engagement, growth mindset, communication, challenging conversations, burnout
Management and Leadership of Best Practices: applying management and leadership best practices to your unique situations and challenges

Supervisor Academy

The School of Medicine Supervisory Academy strives to prepare and develop newly promoted and new-to-Stanford supervisors at all levels in their careers. During this time, you will learn from subject-matter experts and engage with other managers across the School of Medicine. These classes can be taken based on your interest, or you can complete ten within two consecutive fiscal years to receive a certificate from the program.

Manager Academy

Manager Academy begins with fundamental managerial practices. The learning advances to inspiring a culture of trust, tapping into your team's talent for engagement and productivity, and finally, leadership presence. A 360-degree assessment identifies areas of opportunity and strengths to help participants with their development. Participants will leave the program with a professional development success plan to provide them with action steps to continue their development. Managers are nominated to participate in this 6-month learning experience by their local HR team.
