Dermatopathology Fellowship

Overview

This one-year fellowship is intended to provide pathologists or dermatologists with subspecialty competence in Dermatopathology. The fellowship provides training in all aspects of dermatopathologic evaluation, including immunohistochemical staining, immunofluorescence, and molecular testing. Fellows will have exposure to cases of all levels of complexity, including challenging melanocytic lesions and lymphoproliferative disorders. Our service works closely with the Department of Dermatology, and fellows actively participate in teaching, clinics, and conferences.

The Dermatopathology Fellowship at Stanford accepts applications from qualified candidates. To be eligible you must be board certified or eligible for certification by the American Boards of Pathology or Dermatology.

Stanford establishes PGY levels for new fellows based on the successful completion of all prerequisite training required for entry into your fellowship program. Stanford does not recognize additional training beyond the prerequisite training requirements when establishing the PGY level for entry into the program.
