Virtual Support Groups for Parkinson's Disease

Many people find support groups help them deal with the challenges of having Parkinson's disease (PD) or being a care partner to someone with PD.  Joining a support group connects you with others in similar circumstances.  You can find a shoulder to cry on or get advice from people with experience.

If you are not able to attend a support group coordinated by people or PD organizations in your local area, find an online support group from our list below.  There's a wide variety — men with PD, women with PD, early stages, flying solo, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, etc.

These virtual groups use videoconferencing platforms.  Probably most accommodate attendees who want to call-in via the phone only.  Meetings are at a specific time on a regular schedule (weekly or monthly).

If you don't want to get locked into a specific meeting day/time, find an virtual forum or discussion board for people with PD and caregivers.

If you are lucky enough to live in in the region, see our list of Northern and Central California PD support groups.
