I graduated from Lehigh University in May 2025 with a B.S. in Biochemistry, a B.A. in Chinese, and a minor in Engineering. Additionally, I graduated with high honors and departmental honors in Chemistry. During my undergraduate studies, I stumbled across a course called "The Endocrinology of Behavior", where I learned about the significance of hormonal pathways on aggression, depression, stress, and social behaviors in animal models.

My undergraduate research experience involved studying Gram-negative bacterial membranes and being able to mimic their properties and interactions with antimicrobial peptides with synthetic lipids. Outside of school, I also worked as a part-time veterinary nursing assistant at an emergency and referral hospital, where I developed a passion for understanding lab work and how it can lead to a path of recovery for patients in need.

Combining my interests in animal behaviors and helping them live their best quality of life has led me to my ultimate career goal of becoming a laboratory animal veterinarian. Thus, I have joined the Parker and Garner research team to pursue a master's in Laboratory Animal Science and specifically study the effects of oxytocin on wound healing in social animal models.
