Clinical Services at Pacific Free Clinic
Complete Health Assessment
Patients undergo complete health assessments through the administration of a comprehensive health questionnaire, appropriate laboratory testing and physician visits.
Laboratory Testing and Vaccines
We provide free blood draw services and laboratory testing for patients under our care. Please do not eat or drink anything except water for 8 hours before your visit. This helps us obtain the best possible information about your health. Drink plenty of water (avoid coffee and alcohol) in order to make blood draws easier.
Blood testing for HIV and hepatitis B/C is routinely performed for all patients.
We also offer hepatitis B, TDap (for diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus), and shingles (Zostavax) vaccinations at no cost through the GSK Patient Assistant Program for low-income patients. Please note that this income qualification is based on the household income, and we require all patients interested in vaccines to go through a general clinic appointment first. We will then support you in applying to the GSK program to determine if you qualify for a free vaccine.
Please refer to this website for more information regarding financial qualifications.
Specialty Clinic Services
For patients who have attended one general clinic visit, PFC also provides the following specialty services:
- Cardiology Clinic
- Dermatology Clinic
- Neurology Clinic
- Ophthalmology Clinic
- Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic
If you think you could use any of these services, please walk into our general clinic for an initial evaluation.
Referrals
If additional long-term care is needed, Pacific Free Clinic staff will provide referrals to an appropriate health center including, but not limited to, primary care providers and other specialty services.
Medications
We provide prescriptions for low-cost medications from nearby pharmacies for patients under our care.
Interpretation Services
We offer interpretation and patient advocacy services in any language of preference.
No Dental Services, Eyeglass Prescriptions, Disability Forms
Unfortunately, Pacific Free Clinic does not provide dental services, eyeglass prescriptions, or disability forms due to limited resources. We can, however, direct you to a number of low-cost dental and optometry providers in the Santa Clara County.
