Noel Ayoub, MD, MBA, will be joining our division of Rhinology

Noel Ayoub, MD, MBA, will be joining the Division of Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery as a Clinical Assistant Professor after completing a fellowship in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at Mass Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School. He previously obtained a dual MD/MBA degree from Stanford Medical School and Stanford Graduate School of Business. Afterward, he completed an Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery residency at Stanford. His clinical interests include endoscopic endonasal orbital surgery, skull base surgery, sinonsal malignancies, and inflammatory disorders. He is additionally interested in innovative technologies to improve patient care, artificial intelligence, healthcare operations, cost-effectiveness, and global health. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, running, traveling, listening to podcasts, and reading.


Jake J. Lee, MD, will be joining our division of Head & Neck Surgery

Jake J. Lee, MD, will be joining the Stanford University Department of Otolaryngology — Head & Neck Surgery as a Clinical Assistant Professor specializing in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, where he also earned a Master’s of Science in Clinical Investigation. During his training, he was an NIH-sponsored T32 research resident, studying functional outcomes of head and neck cancer treatment, olfaction, and patient-reported outcome measure development and validation. He then completed his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on advanced techniques including minimally invasive transoral robotic surgery, organ preserving laryngeal surgery, and microvascular free flap reconstruction. Clinically, Dr. Lee specializes in comprehensive care for benign and malignant head and neck pathology, minimally invasive head and neck surgery, and microvascular reconstructive surgery. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, snowboarding, traveling, recipe-less cooking, sports watching, and bourbon hunting.


Pedro Gomes de Oliveira, MD, will be joining our division of Sleep Surgery

Pedro Gomes de Oliveira, MD, our current Division of Sleep Surgery fellow, will be joining the faculty at Stanford Otolaryngology with a focus on facial skeletal surgery for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Pedro brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.

Born and raised in Portugal, Pedro completed his medical school and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) at Lisbon. During his residency, he developed an interest for orthognathic surgery, with a special focus on the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. His passion for this specialty led him to pursue advanced training in Chile, Spain and the US. Driven by his dedication to improving patients' lives and his newfound love for coastal California, he has now joined Stanford's OHNS department to further contribute to this field. When he's not in the clinic, you can find Pedro surfing, exploring new cultures through travel, or humbling himself at the driving range.
