Mai Thy Truong, MD has been promoted to the rank of Clinical Professor in the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology.
Dr. Mai Thy Truong is a highly regarded surgeon and educator who specializes in the repair of microtia and atresia, dedicated to reconstructing the auricle and restoring hearing in children. Her additional clinical expertise encompasses the management of vascular anomalies, critical airway conditions, and congenital head and neck masses and fistulas. Her research focuses on the social implications of microtia and the application of 3D modeling in microtia repair. She serves as the Fellowship Director of Pediatric Otolaryngology and co-Clinic Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology. A proud alumna of Stanford’s residency and fellowship programs, she is also a Bay Area native who enjoys musical theater and karaoke in her free time.
Dr. Nancy Jiang is a laryngologist who treats voice, airway, and swallowing disorders, with particular clinical interests in vocal fold paralysis, airway stenosis, and Zenker’s diverticulum. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a fellowship in Laryngology at Stanford. Before joining the Stanford faculty, Dr. Jiang was Chair of Head and Neck Surgery at the Permanente Medical Group and oversaw the otolaryngology residency program at Kaiser Permanente. She brings extensive experience in healthcare administration, with research interests in quality improvement and clinical outcomes. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, often cheering them on at their many activities.
Julia Noel, MD has been appointed Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
Dr. Julia Noel is a skilled thyroid and parathyroid surgeon with additional expertise in minimally invasive techniques and office-based ultrasound-guided procedures. As the new Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC), she is committed to furthering our clinical and educational mission. SCVMC offers a dynamic clinical setting that enriches our residents’ educational experience.
