Registration is open for 2024 Dysphagia Awareness Symposium.

 Attention: we are offering ASHA CEUs for in person participants only. Registration is limited.

Registration will close if room capacity is reached. Limit is 60. While this event is free, we encourage you to make a donation to the Stanford Team who are doing the Dysphagia Research Society's Dash for Dysphagia.

June is National Dysphagia Awareness month. Swallowing difficulties can occur to people of all ages and impacts one in twenty-five Americans annually. Dysphagia has the potential to dramatically impact the health and well-being of patients and their caregivers.

Learner outcomes

  • Participants describe evidenced-based use of thickeners in the management of dysphagia.
  • Participants are able to discuss strategies to increase patient adherence to dysphagia recommendations.
  • Participants identify strategies to minimize aspiration risk and complications in patients with dysphagia.
