The Stanford Comprehensive Otolaryngology Clinic or Adult General ENT Clinic is a team of board certified otolaryngologists (ENT’s), Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who specialize in the medical and surgical care of ear, nose, face, neck and throat disorders. Our highly trained and subspecialized group often works alongside other subspecialties such as endocrinology, audiology, oncology, allergy and immunology and neurology to provide personalized quality treatments to each individual’s condition.

Professor of Otolaryngology — Head & Neck Surgery, Chief of Comprehensive Otolaryngology

Bio

Dr. Megwalu was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, but spent most of his childhood in Nigeria. He received his undergraduate degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Megwalu received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine, completed his residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and received his MPH degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. After residency, Dr. Megwalu joined the faculty at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he served as Director of Otolaryngology at Queens Hospital Center, and Assistant Regional Director of Otolaryngology for Queens Health Network from 2011 to 2015. Dr. Megwalu Joined the Division of Comprehensive Otolaryngology at Stanford in 2016. His clinical interests include thyroid and parathyroid disorders, head and neck tumors, sinusitis, and chronic ear disorders. Dr. Megwalu conducts outcomes/health services research, with a focus on health literacy, health disparities, and comparative effectiveness research.

Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology — Head & Neck Surgery

Bio

Dr. Lee is a board-certified ear, nose, and throat specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the head and neck. She is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology — Head & Neck Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. She provides comprehensive, compassionate care for patients with a wide range of conditions. They include perforated ear drum, thyroid nodules, sinusitis, and salivary gland tumors. She has received praise from patients about her knowledge and ability to communicate clearly, as well as her thoroughness, kindness, and sensitivity. She also has received regional and national recognition for her innovations in the management of dysfunctions of the Eustachian tube. Dr. Lee serves as the medical director of the Stanford Health Care adult otolaryngology service line. Within the department, she oversees five divisions and approximately thirty providers in three locations. This role has helped foster her dedication to quality improvement and to communication between team members to help improve outcomes for the patients in their care. Dr. Lee’s research has focuses on outcomes of patient care relating to dilatory and patulous dysfunction of the Eustachian tube. She helps to educate the specialists of the future in her field by leading the Stanford otolaryngology residency training program in simulation education. Her goals are to improve patient outcomes as well as establish the foundation for how doctors lead teams through otolaryngology emergencies. Away from her clinical practice, teaching, and research, she enjoys time with her family, cooking, and walking in beautiful California.
