Stanford Medical Youth Science Program
The Stanford Medical Youth Science Program is a five-week immersive enrichment program focused on science and medicine that is open to low-income, first-generation high school juniors who live in Northern California.
Please note: SMYSP is specifically for current high school juniors in Northern California. If you are not eligible to apply to SMYSP, we suggest looking into enrichment programs through Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies or other Stanford School of Medicine Programs.
Our 2025 program will be held on Stanford’s campus June 23rd to July 25th, 2025.
The 2025 Application will be available in mid-December.
Local Outreach:
In 2025, we will invite 24 students from Northern California to participate in an immersive, on campus program.
Explore the Exciting World of Science and Medicine
When students attend the Stanford Medical Youth Science Program, not only do they learn and develop as a student, but they are mentored and empowered to begin their path to college and medical careers. We build a cohort of passionate, like-minded peers, who will become the next generation of health leaders.
"SMYSP has become like a family for me. It has opened doors to higher education, community service, and professional work opportunities. I will always remain committed and connected to it for the rest of my life."
