WELCOME

Dear Community,

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a chance to take time off work and other commitments to be with family and friends - or just enjoy moments of peace uninterrupted by meetings and the dings of email or instant messages.

In 2025, we all earned new badges in navigating uncertainty in our social and professional landscapes. Collectively, there were many challenging events that kept us up at night - but there were also many bright spots where we witnessed people showing up for each other to ensure that everyone in our community felt safe, seen, and cared for. As for our team, we experienced many emotional moments that occupied our minds - but we also stayed laser-focused on doing good work to advance the science of community engagement and support our community partners with securing resources to help their clients and patients. In this annual report, we look back on some highlights from the Stanford Medicine Office of Community Engagement where we worked alongside community partners to offer education and research participation opportunities.

We hope that you will enjoy the recap notes written by our treasured colleagues - find them to be just the right dose of inspiration you need to boost your energy and spirit for another eventful year ahead. We wish you a 2026 to be filled with love and community power!

In solidarity,

Wei-ting, Lisa, and Patricia
