Juno Obedin-Maliver, MD, MPH, MAS, FACOG, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Juno Obedin-Maliver is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist who provides clinical care and strives to advance scientific knowledge through her research.
Dr. Obedin-Maliver’s lab and work encompass the following four major areas of work:
- Sexual and Reproductive Health for Sexual and/or Gender Minority People
- The PRIDE Study
- PRIDEnet
- Other Sexual and/or Gender Minority Reproductive Health Research and Activities
Sexual and Reproductive Health for Sexual and/or Gender Minority (SGM) People
Dr. Obedin-Maliver's clinical care inspires and drives her research, focusing on bringing visibility to and understanding the sexual and reproductive health needs of sexual and/or gender minority which include but are not limited to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ+) people.
The PRIDE Study
As Co-Director of The Population Research in Identities and Disparities for Equality (PRIDE) Study, Dr. Obedin-Maliver will explore over many years: how does being LGBTQ+ influence physical, mental, or social health.
Other Sexual and Gender Minority Reproductive Health Research and Activities
Dr. Obedin-Maliver serves on the medical advisory board of the UCSF Center of Excellence for Transgender Health and is helping to author the next version of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care (Version 8).
