The future of Asian health is on the table.
Welcome to Nourish!
Did you know that nearly 50% of all Asians in the United States are living with diabetes or pre-diabetes? Because diabetes management heavily relies on the way we eat, it is imperative to have nutritional resources that are relatable, accessible, and easy to understand.
Food is an integral part of many cultural identities. Yet, individuals from diverse communities often feel the need to abandon beloved traditional foods in an effort to improve their health. This can lead to unsustainable lifestyle changes and feelings of self-doubt. With chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes affecting a significant portion of the population, it’s clear that this cycle must end.
Nourish's mission is to create free, culturally relevant resources to help individuals from all backgrounds understand the impact of refined carbohydrates on health, while celebrating traditional dishes that support wellness goals. Unlike other initiatives, the Nourish team develops tailored resources for people from a variety of cultural traditions, including Filipino, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Latinx, African American, and more, ensuring everyone has the tools they need to make informed and sustainable health choices.
