"Yes!!!" Video captures the loud cheers and excited energy of Match Day

By Michelle Brandt

Filmmaker Mark Hanlon followed Stanford's soon-to-graduate medical students on Match Day and provides an insider's look at what happens just before and after the envelopes are opened.

My colleague Mark Hanlon, the medical school's video director, is pretty fabulous at capturing just the right moments in his films. He's done it again - this time by following our soon-to-graduate medical students on Match Day and providing an insider's look at what happens just before and after the envelopes are opened.

Check out the excited energy of twins Stephanie and Tiffany Chen who (spoiler alert) matched together at the University of California, San Francisco. Absorb Dean Lloyd Minor's encouraging words to the medical students as they anxiously wait to find out their fate. And pay special attention to the 2:00 mark; the friend's supportive (and ecstatic) "Yes!!!" is enough to make anyone smile.
