Real estate investor Brad Geier new chair of Packard Children’s Hospital board of directors

The co-founder of Merlone Geier Partners became chair of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford’s board of directors on Jan. 1.

Brad Geier, a real estate investor and co-founder of Merlone Geier Partners, is the new chair of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford’s board of directors.

He assumed the role on Jan. 1, succeeding private equity manager Jonathan Coslet, who served as chair for four years. Geier has served on the board since 2020.

Geier is the co-founder, co-owner and co-managing partner of Merlone Geier Partners. His career includes senior positions at Trammell Crow Company and the Taubman Company.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brad as our board chair,” said Paul King, CEO of Stanford Children’s Health and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. “His enduring ties to the Stanford community, coupled with his skilled leadership, consummate board experience and dedication to his community, will be invaluable to our organization.”

Geier, who has a degree in history from Stanford University, is an emeritus trustee of Stanford University where he has been involved in various leadership and volunteer positions, including participating in the Bing Overseas Studies Program’s advisory council and serving as co-chair of the parents’ advisory board. His contributions have earned him the Stanford Associates Governors’ Award for exemplary volunteer service.
