Stanford Health Care recognized as most wired

By Office of Communications

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives gives Stanford Health Care its highest honor.

Stanford Health Care achieved the highest rating in both inpatient and ambulatory categories in the 2025 Digital Health Most Wired Survey, an initiative of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives. Stanford Health Care is one of only 18 U.S. health care organizations to receive the honor.

Additionally, Stanford Health Care is one of two health systems that will receive CHIME’s inaugural Climate Sustainability and Resilience in Healthcare award for the Digital Health Most Wired “high performance” recognition categories.

CHIME surveyed more than 50,000 health care facilities worldwide, examining clinical quality and safety, analytics, cybersecurity, patient engagement and innovation. Stanford Health Care demonstrated its readiness to tackle evolving challenges in health care, including heightened cybersecurity risks, workforce shortages and budgetary constraints.

“Receiving this recognition from the CHIME 2025 Digital Health Most Wired Survey is a significant milestone for Stanford Health Care. It reflects our team’s relentless pursuit of excellence in digital transformation and our commitment to enhancing patient care with innovative technology,” said Michael Pfeffer, MD, chief information officer at Stanford Health Care and associate dean at the Stanford School of Medicine.
