Neurology Resident Events

Annual Stanford Neurology Resident Retreat

The Stanford Neurology Resident Retreat is a time honored annual tradition. During this time, our fellows and attendings cover all inpatient services and we take the Friday and Saturday off to go and spend some quality time with each other somewhere around Stanford. The retreat is fully funded by the department. It is planned by residents and the location changes every year. In past years, we have gone wine tasting in Sonoma, apple picking in Watsonville, made smores over a fire on the beach in Santa Cruz and worked on building up our sea legs riding around a chartered boat in Half Moon Bay. It's a great chance to meet incoming junior residents and spend some time all together outside the hospital.

During another fun annual retreat residents enjoyed a yacht cruise on the San Francisco Bay, a group woodworking shop, and an evening of fun at the bowling & bocce alley with arcade games and more!

Another great annual resident retreat. Residents enjoyed a Bay Cruise on the Five Star Yacht, Games and Dinner at Campo Di Bocce and finished the night at Devil's Canyong Brewing Company.

Fun from the annual neuro resident bonding retreat! Our residents spent the day enjoying the sun, hiking, and wine tasting at local wineries!

Brunch at Café Borrone, Day at Half Moon Bay State Beach, Dinner at INDO in Palo Alto

This year residents enjoyed the beach and a retreat center in Pescadero.

Apple Day: For our second annual Apple Day, we visited our coresident’s family apple farm to pick, juice, and taste apples in all their forms from straight off the tree to home cooked treats
