Lindsay Becker - Neurosciences
Neuroscience PhD candidate Lindsay Becker is a sustainability champion at the Beckman Center. Her initiative to set up recycling for packaging materials and plastics (such as pipette-tip boxes) in her lab results in over 700 pounds of recycled materials per year.To help labs like hers reduce waste and increase recycling, Lindsay partnered with the Cardinal Green Labs program to host a lunchtime recycling bin give-away in the Beckman lobby on March 7. More than 30 labs participated in the event and signed up to recycle, with over 100 free bins distributed to help facilitate the process.
