Clinician Educator
The Division of Nephrology at Stanford University School of Medicine invites applications from board-eligible or board-certified nephrologists for a faculty position as Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator line. We are especially seeking candidates with a strong interest in onco-nephrology, focused on the care of patients with kidney disease who also have cancer or are undergoing cancer treatment.
The Division of Nephrology is committed to excellence in research, medical education, and clinical care. With more than 35 faculty, clinician educators, and instructors, we strive to lead in the prevention and treatment of kidney disease. Our division delivers compassionate, innovative, and state-of-the-art preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to patients with kidney disease and hypertension.
The major criterion for appointment, reappointment and promotion for Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care and clinical teaching appropriate to the programmatic needs the individual is expected to fulfill. Successful applicants will be encouraged to interact with the wide range of clinical, translational, and basic science programs at Stanford. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The successful applicant's responsibilities will include primarily outpatient care based in the East Bay and other outreach sites in the greater Bay Area and may also include attending on the inpatient general nephrology consult service at the main hospital located in Palo Alto, CA.
Pursuit of individual scholarly interests is encouraged and supported.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Board eligibility or board certification in Nephrology
· Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Nephrology
· Eligibility for licensure in the State of California

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position in fiscal year 2025-2026 is:
Clinical Assistant Professor: $269,000 - $280,000
Clinical Associate Professor: $288,000 - $324,000
Clinical Professor: $341,000 - $409,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
