Overview and Meaning
Unknown behaviors are included in ethograms to ensure that the ethogram is exhaustive (i.e. that at any time, a behavior can be identified). Behaviors may be unknown because the animal is out of sight, or because the behavior cannot be identified (e.g. due to camera angle or resolution).
