Feeding is a maintenance behavior that functions to take in nutrients and macromolecules for growth and metabolism, in order to maintain the nutrition and general physiological stasis of the mouse.

Description

The animal rears up to gnaw at food pellets through the bars of the food hopper. The forepaws are usually used to hold the food pellet steady.
