Funding For Travel to Present Research
For Stanford MD Students-only for research done during the MD program. MSTP and PhD students are not eligible. Funding approval is on a rolling basis until the money is depleted, and students are only awarded once per academic year (Sept 1 - Aug 31). Funding is limited to one student per presentation.
We do not fund travel that has already occured. You must be awarded funding before travel takes place.

Students will receive official approval of the amount of funding (typically up to $1,200) along with booking and reimbursement instructions, after completing the below request form and providing the following items:
- Mentor letter of support and assistance*
- Invitation to present from the organization
- Abstract
- Assumption of Risk waiver
* Mentor letters should address their support for you including if they can contribute any funding to your trip.

Please note that this is a reimbursement - you must be prepared to pay for your travel up front and will receive reimbursement after travel is completed and all receipts, boarding passes, etc are submitted. We do not fund travel that has already occured. You must be awarded funding before travel takes place. After travel, for reimbursement, you will also need to attach the completed Student Certification form.
You must acknowledge the above conference travel will not interfere with any of your required coursework and understand this award does not grant approval or excuse you from such commitments (i.e. exams, labs, rotations, etc.).
