Qihui Lyu, PhD, resident at the University of California

Qihui is a medical physics resident at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She received her PhD degree in Physics and Biology in Medicine also from UCLA. She has active research on CT reconstruction, dual-energy CT material decomposition, VMAT optimization, 4pi radiotherapy, FLASH radiotherapy, etc.

Advanced treatment planning and imaging techniques will improve the precision and accuracy of radiotherapy treatments. In this presentation, I will discuss our efforts to improve the treatment precision and accuracy in 4 aspects: 1) Precision in Physical dose: Advanced treatment planning algorithms and delivery techniques 2) Precision in Biological dose: FLASH radiotherapy 3) Accuracy in Structures: Advanced CT reconstruction and image processing techniques 4) Accuracy in Dose: A new X-ray imaging technique, the pair production tomography
