Stanford Laboratory Genetics & Genomics Fellowship Program

Program Overview

The Laboratory Genetics & Genomics Fellowship Program is an ABMGG Clinical Laboratory Fellowship that is ACGME accredited.

The fellowship program seeks to attract individuals of diverse backgrounds and experience interested in pursuing careers in medical genetics. The fellowship is open to holders of PhD, MD or MD/PhD degrees. Fellows must be eligible to work in the United States.

  • Start Date: July 2025
  • All incoming fellows will be appointed as the PGY1 salary level
  • This is an in-person, clinical laboratory-based fellowship
  • VISAS: For MD candidates, we can sponsor J-1 only; for highly-qualified PhD candidates we may sponsor H1b

  • Preferred experience: 2 years in clinical cytogenetics or clinical molecular genetics laboratory testing or postdoctoral research in one of these areas
  • Strong candidates have been involved in related orgranizations such as ACMG or CLINGEN

 

*One of these letters must be from your current supervisor, thesis advisor, or department/division director, or MD residency program director
