MCP Diversity Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Cabinet

Mission

In the MCP Diversity Cabinet, we are working toward a vision of better science through inclusive excellence. We celebrate the rich perspectives of our community of scholars (students, postdocs, staff, and faculty), and we collectively resist institutional racism and other discriminatory behaviors. Our actions reflect our deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as a backbone of our intellectual community.

The Cabinet consists of 29 members of the Department, including faculty, research and administrative staff, graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.

With Department support, we curate, develop, and deploy a range of programs to promote inclusive excellence at department, campus, and community levels. From inter-departmental connection to campus-wide opportunities to local community outreach, these programs span the full spectrum of our roles as scientists in our rapidly changing 21st century.
