The MCHRI Master’s Tuition Program (MTP) is designed to support those planning to pursue a career as a physician scientist, spending the majority of their time doing NIH funded basic or clinical research related to maternal and child* health (MCH). The MCHRI project will serve as the master’s thesis project.

  • *“Children” or “Child” refers to expectant mothers, oocyte, zygote, embryo, fetus, infant, child, and/or adolescent.

Acceptance into an MS program does not guarantee MCHRI funding. Applicants will be reviewed and selected by the MCHRI Executive Committee.

T32 Fellowship Applicants: Fellows applying to the NIH T32 Subspecialty Global Health Fellowship must apply to an approved master’s program and interview with the MCHRI Executive Committee.

Note: The MS application for programs is separate from MCHRI’s MTP application. Please take note of each program’s specific deadlines. Please email us at mchri_admin@stanford.edu  if you intend to submit a MTP application.

All projects must be significantly related to the health of expectant mothers and children.
