Bio
Dr. Donepudi has been serving the state agency the Kansas Department of Health and Environment as the Medicaid Medical Director in the Division of Health Care Finance.
She oversees pharmaceutical program coverage and oversight as well as clinical policy research, development, and state plan coverage program oversight for the Medicaid program for the state, working with clinical and executive leadership of three managed care organizations, providers, and community and national stakeholders.
Prior to her current capacity, Dr. Donepudi served as an integrated health system leader as part of their senior leadership team in the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Quality Officer. She has also served as an Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for an integrated health system in Delaware and led the ambulatory implementation of a new EMR in her capacity there and preceding role as a clinical informatics leader and physician in Kansas, transitioning 26 clinic cities across 13 counties and improving integration with the system’s 586 licensed bed hospital.
Dr. Donepudi is board-certified in Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics and has a passion for change management, strategic planning, and communications and is recognized for her ability to build consensus and engagement while operationalizing strategic initiatives. She has cultivated expertise in cross-functional, interdisciplinary communication and shareholder engagement, achieving standardization, continuous performance and process improvement, and delivering greater efficiencies with superior outcomes.
An advocate for leveraging technology to advance purpose and reach, Dr. Donepudi sees informatics as a bridge and adjunct to creative redesign of healthcare delivery to better serve both clinicians and patients.
