An innovator at heart, Rebecca Ramirez started Dr. Becky’s Blog, a health resource for people receiving virtual care at home.
Dr. Ramirez is Chief Clinical Advisor at Healthcare Advisory Network providing consultative services for practices and organizations who leverage technology to provide high quality human centered care delivery.
Dr. Ramirez joined Healthcare Advisory Network in 2020 with 20+ years of clinical leadership as a health care executive and hospitalist physician. As a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Ramirez impacts health care transformation with physician engagement, change management techniques and innovative technology selection and application.
Prior to Healthcare Advisory Network, Dr. Ramirez served as the Chief Transformation Officer for a $2B Dollar Health System where she was the strategic and operational leader for the Clinical Revenue Cycle across nine hospitals. Dr. Ramirez was responsible for integrating clinical activities with revenue cycle functionality. She used data, digital tools and process improvement techniques as part of a comprehensive approach to improve physician engagement with CDI and Case Management teams. Consistent with her track record of success, Clinical Revenue Cycle integration resulted in net revenue growth of $5M and 80% reduction in status denials in year one.
Dr. Ramirez earned a Master’s in Health Care Management at Harvard University. She serves as a distinguished mentor in Stanford University’s School of Medicine, Master of Science in Clinical Informatics Management. She is a coach in the Society of Hospital Medicine’s (SHM) Leadership Academy Capstone Course and a founding member of the SHM Capstone Advisory team.
