Rebecca Ramirez, MD, MHCM

Dr. Ramirez is an independent consultant, advisor, and board member with extensive expertise in healthcare transformation.  A former Chief Physician Executive and entrepreneur, she drives meaningful change through physician engagement, effective change management, and the strategic adoption of innovative technologies. Dr. Ramirez provides consultative services to healthcare organizations and technology companies, helping them deliver high-quality, human-centered care.

As a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with over 25 years of experience in clinical care and healthcare leadership, Dr. Ramirez brings real-world insight to the intersection of healthcare, management and technology.  Her background spans strategic, operational, financial, and quality initiatives related to care delivery, revenue cycle optimization and population health.  Dr. Ramirez uses data, technology, and process improvement techniques to demonstrate how thoughtful innovation can improve patient access, efficiency of care, financial margin, and coordination of services - skills she encourages students to apply as future healthcare innovators.

Dr. Ramirez earned a master’s in health care management at Harvard University.  She serves as a distinguished mentor at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, Master of Science in Clinical Informatics Management and the Harvard Innovation Labs.
